The Journalist

Gene Siskel was more than a film critic. He was a journalist who spent nearly 30 years honing his craft and contributing to various publications around the world.  His columns appeared in everything from the Chicago Tribune to Sports Illustrated, and along with Roger Ebert he was nominated for six national Emmy Awards for his work on television.
